I wish the tournament committee would change these geographic anamolies which exist in the current tournament.

Would it be possible to take the four regions and have all of those pre-Final Four games in those regions?

It's utterly stupid to be having first round South region games in Portland? Or whatever they do.

Take the four regions (all pretty big)....and put first, second round and then regional final round games....in those regions.
And I realize that you may have some teams not from a particular region...playing in that region. That can't be helped. This geographic lunacy can be helped.

They started it this way about 6-7 years ago I believe? They used to be more inline with what you say SUMG, but I recall after a game between like Maryland and Georgetown on the West Coast the calls for changing how they send teams places got pretty loud.

Honestly, I'm sure that game didn't have alot to do with it, but soon after that happened I remember the current Pod system getting introduced.

As for my NCAA thought...this is a Extemely Powerful "Mid major" kind of thought. If WKU keeps this rolling the next few seasons, there will be a vacuum in place for getting a #2 school in the conference. Look at the WCC, Horizon what have you. When a dominant program appears on the scene, usually a very strong #2 will rise to challenge them(and LIKEWISE get national attention) after a few seasons. USA obviously has the upper hand with recent history, but it's not a slam dunk.

Let's hope we can do it.
