During the Niagara-Illinois St game last night, one of the announcers mentioned comments by Niagara Coach, Joe Mihalich.

Mihalich said instead of matching up two mid-majors in a Bracket Buster...why not match one mid-major and one power conference bubble team.

The other announcer said the power conference teams might not like that scenario. Then both annoucers broke into laugher.

Most years I'd be on board with a middie vs. a power confernce bubble team for Bracket Buster...but this year I don't think the mid-majors are nearly as deep, and aside from the likes of Xavier, Butler and Davidson I don't think the top mid major programs are nearly as talented as they were the past few seasons.

I'd be afraid the likes of Maryland, South Carolina and Kansas State would win easily...and just fuel douchebags like Jay Bilas and Bobby Knight who think the tourney should just be 64 BCS conference schools.
