I'd make Ben Knox take a bullet for J'mison Morgan.

I know that untgeorge says Morgan didn't get any playing time because he was out of shape, but I truly believe this could be a gamechanger for us. J'mison was one of the most highly recruited kids in the country....even as a bust on the "elite" level, you'd have to think he could dominate in the SBC.

He never really saw much PT for the Bruins. Ben Howland is a task master, so maybe Morgan isn't a hard worker. If he wanted to come here tho, I think he'd be worth the risk.

Yeah, I don't get why George seems to have such a passionate dislike for Morgan.

I would take him in a heartbeat. As in, if someone had to make Ben Knox's heart stop beating to get Morgan a scholarship, I'd be okay with that.

I don't mean to pick on Knox so much, but he seems to be the consensus bottom guy on the scholarship totem pole. There are probably more guys than not on this roster that I'd be willing to push out the door in order to free up a scholarship for Morgan.

Ronnie Morgan was a very good bb player who fought weight issues and high blood pressure. I never thought he lacked hustle and anyone who can get 16 rebounds against UNC in the tournament is good enough for me. He was at best 6'5 and I thought played with a lot of heart. Heavy guys like Morgan, Woodson, and Gipson a 6'9 about 280 player for Gales tend to get criticed for lack of effort when carrying that kind of load up and down the court takes a lot of tenacity.

Jones has jettioned players before, a pick up like Morgan or McCombs could be too hard to resist. Schlorships are only for a year so there is nothing stopping Jones from not renewing a Knox or Spencer or backing out on his commit to Edwards. Not a good long term stradegy but NT probably does it much less than other teams in the Belt.

I hate having to cut any kid on scholarship loose willy nilly. Especially since he's already given us two years of his life. However, it seems likely to me that it will occur
