The Denton school board stopped their meeting Tuesday night to announce the score.

Is it asking too much for some of those folks who are so excited RIGHT NOW........to be with our program AT THE START OF NEXT SEASON?

A man can dream....can't he?

That would be nice, but don't forget the pathetic crowd for the 2007 NCAA banner hanging in which anyone who attended the football game 200 yards away could get in free. That was moment I realized that basketball may never get the attention and support it deserves at North Texas.

Considering we were playing Cameron, that was actually a decent sized crowd. But yeah, hoping attendance can really pick up next year.

If it had been anyone other than Indiana or OK State would attendance have been any better? 20k people had free tickets and just had to walk across a parking lot to celebrate the first NCAA tourny appearance in 20 years and attendance was still pathetic.

I more compare it to other Cameron games I guess. We've played Cameron several other times and never broken 2K. We had over 3K in the 2007-08 lid lifter. So all things considered, that's a good crowd against them. Probably twice our usual Cameron average.

It shouldn't matter who we are playing. Wichita St had a full house when they played played Newman in an exhibition game.

And then people post wondering why Wichita St beats us in recruiting.

One more thing. I am tired of hearing that we can get OUR FANS to turn out by playing BCS teams at home.

I was at the UNT-Oklahoma St game several years ago. Our fans were outnumbered by OSU fans two to one.

When they took the lead in the second half and were all standing and cheering their team, I overheard one say-"This is just like playing at Baylor. We are going to take over. Fortunately our guys didn't give them much to cheer about at the end.
